Geoff Crowther

Geoff has lived in Goring on Thames for the last 35 years. Having recently retired he has now taken the time to develop his passion and produce objects that others enjoy.

"I was introduced to working with wood in my fathers workshop at a young age and it has been my passion ever since.  One of many wonderful things about working with wood is the grain. Wood is a living, natural organism so no two pieces are the same. By carefully selecting each piece of wood, this grain can be used to enhance the finished object, ensuring every single piece is unique."

The majority of the wood Geoff uses is grown sustainably in managed woodland within Oxfordshire and locally seasoned. The individual pieces are worked and crafted in his workshop, using a combination of traditional and modern woodworking techniques.
